With has over 15 years experience Sarah started in hairdressing as a traditional Saturday girl in a salon in Leeds. She quickly realized that she had a natural talent in creating bespoke colour for clients and was rapidly promoted up to Senior Colour Technician and relocated to London where she passed her Colour Masters Degree and began to run colour seminars as well as contributed to numerous magazines, training manuals and editorial pieces.
With a move to Hob Salons Sarah was able to further her expertise by working alongside 3 times British Color Technician of the year Christel Lundqvist and was located in their award winning flagship Salon.
As her reputation grew Sarah was headhunted to cross the pond and took up a 3 year placement in the heart New York where she was invited to head up an exclusive colour department in Soho. The Drawing Room Salon has regularly been voted as the best hair salon in New York and during her time there Sarah was at the technical and creative forefront of all aspects of hair colouring.
Sarah has a real passion for education and during her career has been flown around the world to run colour seminars involving stage presentations and workshops showcasing the latest techniques to experienced technicians in Europe and America.
After only a year working in the flagship salon on Commercial Street, she was honored to take Taylor Taylor London worldwide. Setting up the salon in a luxurious five-star resort, collaborating with the One&Only Reethi Rah, Maldives.
Originally from Sweden, Jenny Persson moved to London in 2008 to be at the center of Fashion. She has 13 years experience in Hairdressing and managing salons. With a four-year journeyman ship certificate in Hairdressing and extensive courses, she holds a Goldwell Colour Expert Degree and is two times nominated for ‘Newcomer of the Year’ in national competitions.
Recently her work has been published in Nasty magazine; the journal of Wild Culture and shown in Retrospective Fashion show at world renowned London Fashion Week. She has also styled for the Noisette’s music video ‘Winner’ and Pixie Lott for her Colgate commercial. She regularly tends to Jessie Ware’s locks and gives Tom Odell his soft blonde hair-colour.
Jenny always strives to create beautiful and rich colours for her clients; her natural flowing colours are becoming a trademark of her technical style. With her passion for styling hair she regularly travels creating beautiful looks for brides on their wedding day’s, completing their day with hair-up and make-up.
Natalia is a talented “all round” hairdresser with an exceptional technical background achieved through her natural ability and her total dedication to training and learning about all aspects of hairdressing.
Truly passionate about cutting, colouring and blow-drying she can the perfect total look for you. Natalia is uniquely skilled being as comfortable barbering with clippers and using traditional scissor over-comb techniques as she is creating a complete hair transformation involving bleach and toning or creative colours.
Natalia has joined our team from Poland where she has a fiercely loyal client base but her passion for hairdressing has led her to London and Taylor Taylor where she can develop her natural creative ability and utilise her specialist knowledge of bone and muscle structure to create a style that enhances each individuals natural features.
Natalia is also one of our Davines specialists with an in depth knowledge of their sustainable beauty collections and their ammonia free, enriched professional colours.
Vannata has started her career in hair 12 years ago at the award winning Aveda, ‘Diva Salon Spa’ in Canada and has relocated to London six years ago.
Her favourite part of hairdressing is connecting people from all walks of life and creating a transformation making that person feel amazing.
Younes discovered his passion for hairdressing at the age of 16 after his first career as a gymnast ended abruptly through injury. Within a year he was enrolled on a vocational course at college where he immediately showed his potential with a natural artistry and an incredible work ethic learned from hours of training in the gymnasium.
Younes has his heart firmly based in London so having his hairdressing home at Taylor Taylor London felt like a natural fit. Exceptionally talented Younes has a pride in working hand in hand with his clients to create a hair journey that is best explained in his own words………..”Hairdressing to me is a journey rather than a destination; together with my clients I create a style that balances their hair “dreams” with results that are both achievable and will leave the hair in the best possible health. Being responsible for the entire look from cutting through to colouring is my absolute passion and the instant changes that I see within my clients after a hair transformation is a real privilege”.
Lily started her hairdressing career in 2010. She has a natural flair for hairdressing which has helped her excel in all aspects of hair including cutting, blow drying, styling and colour. Studying her clients facial features, skin tone and eye colour to determine which cut and colour will compliment them the best. Lily’s calm and friendly manor helps everyone feel relaxed in her chair.
Originally from Cornwall she always knew she wanted to work in the city so in 2015 she moved to Sydney for 9 months and soon became an extremely successful hairstylist in an award winning salon on Bondi Beach. After returning to England she then moved to London and spent a year working in another award winning salon in Covent Garden. Lily considers herself very ambitious and wanted to work alongside some of the best hairdressers in the country which is what brought her to Taylor Taylor London.
Paulina's sense of style and her personable approach enable her to experiment and propose innovative ideas to her customers. A true perfectionist who will ensure your happiness whether you’re looking for a colour change or a cut.
Her passion and experience is supported by specialist industry courses at Allilon, considered one of the best academies in hair cutting which she completed with the highest scores. She also attended Whittemore House course run by ones of the New York's leading colourists Larry Raspanti and Victoria Hunter where she learnt hair painting techniques.
As one of the most respected men in hairdressing we are privileged to have Darren on our team. With over 25 years experience under his belt and with titles such as “London Hairdresser of the Year” Darren is an exceptional stylist and an inspirational member of the team.
From his early beginnings at the age of 15 when he was sweeping the floor of a Bethnal Green salon Darren was always obsessed with fashion and style and quickly realised that for him there could be no compromises on his hairdressing work. Darren rapidly built an enviable reputation and a fiercely loyal client base with his signature styling and his technical precision.
After making his name both within his chosen salons and on the fashions catwalks Darren has more recently taken this skill to train rising hairdressers of the future. From running an international academy in central London to creating worldwide seminars and demonstrating live on stage his integrity has kept Darren at the top of his industry.
On top of all this Darren still finds the time to participate in ironman triathlons and race at club level cycling events; he could show us all a thing or too about commitment and dedication.
In 2009 Elsa joined our Commercial Street salon where she swiftly proved her technical ability and progressed to Art Director. During her tenure at Taylor Taaylor Elsa’s career has gone from strength to strength and she has shown natural excellence in all the hairdressing disciplines from salon to catwalk to editorial assignments.
Over the past few years she has been fortunate enough to support leading international session stylists such as Eugene Souleiman, Martin Cullen and Duffy at the ‘Fashion Week's across the world, showcasing some of the world’s most infuential fashion brands such as Gareth Pugh, Joseph and Antonio Berardi. In Elsas own words Elsa “The exposure at the height of the industries professionalism has given me an opportunity to perform in an implausibly pressured environment and deliver on end result, which can be nothing less than perfect. This has without doubt shaped and influenced my career and the person I am today”.
Alongside Elsa’s busy salon column and her session commitments, she is also part of the management team at Taylor Taylor London and jointly heads up the Art Team which promotes the salon’s strong technical and creative reputation. This role involves delivering the in-house collections, organizing editorial and commercial assignments and preparing bespoke articles for international publications and helping others realizes their potential through external Seminars and in-house workshops.
Passionate and elegant Aude is an instinctive and natural hairstylist specializing in all aspects of cutting and styling. Trained in Paris and inspired by fashion and beauty she worked on the world famous Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris for 4 years before moving to London to spend 2 years at the award winning Hob salon and Academy in Camden.
With over 12 years experience and with a passion for session and show work she is a regular at both the men’s and women’s catwalks in Paris and London bringing back the latest hair and fashion trends into the salon at Liberty. Having worked with fashion icons as varied as Roland Mouret, Pam Hogg and Joshua Kane she has an exceptional eye for style which she combines with a real warmth and of course her natural French flair.
Aude is passionate about client care which she couples with a strong personal aesthetic and an innovative approach; her aim is to always deliver creative hairstyling services of the highest quality.
In her own words Claire “loves to tell a story with the hair that I create and making people feel confident is what keeps me motivated”.
Claire's natural talent for cutting and styling hair alongside her boundless amounts of energy and love ensures that everyone who sits in her chair is immediately at ease in the salon. Her ability to listen and understand each of her clients needs helps her to focus on those areas where care and advice is needed. Her passion for salon work lies in transformative restyles and the challenge of curly and men’s hair.
Outside the salon she is recognised for her contribution to both the commercial and editorial world of hairdressing and with 13 years under her belt you will have seen her work across all the media and fashion channels. From British Vogue and London Fashion Week to countless X factor episodes and even styling in the extreme conditions of The Jump!
Claire has also undergone McMillan training and combined with her skill at cutting wigs this has enabled her to fully support clients throughout the stages of chemotherapy.
And if all that wasn’t enough she is also fluent in Spanish too.
Ryan has over twenty years experience in hairdressing, he splits his time between salon and fashion shows and editorial shoots working with some of the biggest names in the fashion industry.
Under the guidance of hairdressing big hitters like Sam Mcknight, Syd Hayes and Shon, Ryan has worked with designers such as Chanel, Fendi, Tom Ford, Vivienne Westwood, Matty Bovan, Balmain, Juun J, Burberry, and many more.
He loves taking care of clients in the salon just as much as he does working with household name models, and has a keen eye for detail and always looks for beautiful, wearable looks for his loyal clientele.
Hairdressing was always Fanny's first passion and as soon as she left university took on her first apprenticeship in her native France. Fanny was fortunate enough to begin working for the one of the most famous hairdressers in the country, Jean-Louis Cacheux and during her time with him began to develop her trademark style which she proudly calls "Her French Touch”.
After graduating Fanny spent a year on the salon floor in Paris before moving to London and assisting the iconic Japanese hairdresser Massato before joining the Taylor Taylor Education programme to finesse her cutting skills. With her previous experience combined with her knowledge of working on shows and photoshoots Fanny quickly progressed and passed her intensive hair exams in August 2015.
With an eye for elegance Fanny is already making a name for herself by bringing a soft, glamorous and feminine touch to her hairdressing …her French Touch.
Mike Mahoney has always been heavily involved at the top of the industry from a very young age, with a passion for precision haircuts and fashionable finishes.
At the age of 16 he was working assisting in one of the worlds leading Academy’s at Hob salons in Camden. Working alongside four times British hairdresser of the year and many other award winning hairdressers on shoots and seminars weekly.
By the time he was 18 it was announced he had made it onto the GHD style squad being the youngest member of the team, and traveling up and down the uk, styling and finishing hair. These were his very first steps into the session world. Later that year he was announced as a finalist for the British hairdressing business awards junior of the year.
Since then he’s been pursuing his career in session by traveling the world regularly doing fashion shows from Versace, Dolce and Gabbana, Prada, Dior, Alexander McQueen, Valantino and Burberry.
Jimmy chose to do hairdressing from an early age working his way up from sweeping floors and making tea in a salon in Cambridge to assisting and working alongside some of the top session stylists in the world.
"People ask me what inspires me - life inspires me, it can can be the smallest things that you wouldn't take any notice of so keep your eyes open.
For me its all about looking unique, modern and sexy. I'm not very technical with my work I just go with the flow as an artist would, I don't do the same thing twice like any other form of art."
Originally from Romania, Mihaela decided to leave her university degree course and moved to London where she discovered her passion for hair and completed her NVQ level 3 in hairdressing. Mihaela joined Taylor Taylor London in November 2009 when she fell in love with the clients and the hairdressing creativity in our original boutique hair salon just off Brick Lane in Shoreditch.
In her own words Mihaela believes that hairdressing is not simply about a cut or a colour but about creating something beautiful for each individual and using the richest accessory that you have to your best advantage.
During her time with us Mihaela has worked in our flagship Shoreditch hair salon as our head assistant recognizing the excellence of the junior hairdressing team and helping them achieve their potential. She has personally looked after many of our high profile celebrities such as Lewis Hamilton, Greg Rutherford, members of the Game of Thrones cast and Pixie Lott as well as assisting our Art Directors on their photographic assignments. Mihaela is a vital member of our team with an exceptionally strong work ethic and an inspiring customer service record.
We are delighted that Mihaela has now taken her chair on our styling team after graduating from the Taylor Taylor London Hairdressing Academy in August 2015.
Tommy found his passion of hairdressing early through his father, who is also a hairdresser. He has been in the industry since he left school and went on to complete his NVQ level 3.
Originally from Essex, Tommy has been with Taylor Taylor London since he was a junior in our flagship Shoreditch hair salon.
He has also worked on several shoots and shows from London Fashion Week to Britain’s Got Talent. In his spare time he works with the charity Haircuts4homeless making an difference to the community.
We are delighted that Tommy has now taken his chair on our styling team after graduating from the Taylor Taylor London Hairdressing Academy.
