In his own words Simon is “Not a Hairdressers Hairdresser” but his passion for hair is immediately evident in his incredible career which has already led him to the finals of British Mens Hairdresser of the Year for two consecutive years, international recognition for his work on both the fashion catwalk and numerous editorial pieces in magazines and commercials.
Simon started his hairdressing career at 17 and despite being signed as a drummer for a small band on an independent label at 19 his passion for hair lead him back to Toni and Guy where he worked in Birmingham and most recently at their flagship salon in London where he also gained a prized position on their world famous education team.
Simon is already an established member of the hair teams led by Anthony Turner, Gary Gill , Duffy and Martin Cullen his work on both the mens and womens catwalk is extensive spanning collections such as Dior Homme, Rick Owens, Kenzo, Thom Browne, Erdem, Nina Ricci, Peter Pilotto, Proenza Schouler, Topshop Unique , JW Anderson, Yohji Yamamoto, Rick Owens, Ann Demeulemeester, Chris Raeburn and Versus Versace.
His commercial and editorial work is no less impressive heading his own styling team for retailers such as Zara online, ASOS and Clements & Church and publications such as Notion, Noctis and Candid whilst also assisting on the iconic magazines Love and Wonderland.
With a strong relationship with modelling agencies AMCK, Next , Body London and First Model Management Simon specialises in creating the latest mens looks for the male models and is truly passionate about all aspects of mens grooming.
Influenced by music, fashion, film and current affairs Simon won’t bore you with talk of holidays and family life while you are in his chair but with his laid back style he will inspire you with his talent to bridge the link between fashion and hair.
